Speeches
This term, G.S.S has been doing a speech competition! We all had to write our own speeches and present them to the class. It was so hard choosing a topic, but I finally had one.......... The Life Of A Slave. Surprisingly it made the semifinals and it was my first time ever!! Sadly I didn't get into the finals but the people who did had really good speeches!!

Cook Island Week
This week is Cook Island week so we have got a lot of fun activities like finding facts about the Cook Islands, drawing, and writing! We have also learnt some Cook Island Maori! Learning about the Cook Islands has been really fun!
Pumanua
This year all of the senior school are doing Pumanuwa! Pumanuwa is a thing where kids get assigned to a club focusing on a fun activity like drama, digital tech, cartooning, and yoga. I got put in drama, which I think is great because I love performing arts! It is also fun because most of my friends are in it!
Ocean Posters
For reading in room 5 we made a poster on an ocean. Our options were: the Indian Ocean, the Pacific Ocean, the Southern Ocean, the Atlantic Ocean and the Arctic Ocean. I chose the Southern Ocean. I chose it because it has some really cool animals like fur seals, colossal squids, killer whales and blue whales.

Maori Art
We have been creating Maori art by drawing a picture based on the children's book illustrator and author, Peter Gossage! It has taken a long time but I think it is worth it! I LOVE ART!!!!!
Egg Sitting
Last week room 5 egg sat! Basically we had to shelter and protect an egg! This was to teach us how to be responsible with a baby. We got to name our eggs, I named mine Eggatha! Eggatha died on the first day which I am very ashamed to say! But on the plus side, I loved egg sitting!
